By: Endeavor and Glisco Partners

For the second time, Endeavor in collaboration with Glisco Partners worked to bring the Venture Capital and Growth Equity activity update to the close of 2022.

What changed in 2022?

Unlike 2021, capital in 2022 showed different patterns: A generalized perception by entrepreneurs towards more expensive and scarce capital, and a shift in investor focus towards profitability, unit economics and a long-term vision.

In 2022, there was an increase in the frequency of rounds in LATAM from 582 rounds to 784, a historic high but with a lower amount of capital, which reinforces the change in investment characteristics. The median investment contracted from $5M to $3M.
